PROGRAMS FOR YOUTH!

Ages: 3-5 years

            5-12 years

            13-15 years

Little Learners - (3-5 years; must be potty-trained)

The Little Learners program is focused on educational and social development; three exciting components will keep your child's mind and body active!  Our experienced instructors will introduce children to water while teaching basic skills and giving encouragement.  Crafts and learning introduces letters, numbers, colors and calendar activities through story time and art projects.  Creative movement includes rhythm, musical and group games that develop motor skills.  All three segments of Little Learners will introduce and encourage use of the YMCA character values of caring, honesty, respect, responsibility and faith.

9 a.m.-12 noon

Tuesday & Thursday:  $75/member  $100/program participant

Monday/Wednesday/Friday:  $110/member  $150/program participant

Monday-Friday:  $180/member  $245/program participant

 

School Days Out (Grades K-8)

During Wicomico County Public School vacations, children in grades K-8 can spend the day at the Y!  Days Out activities include: arts & crafts, group games, swimming and time in the Y-Zone.  A completed forms pack is required before registering.
9/30; 10/21; 11/4; 12/23; 12/26; 12/27; 12/28; 12/29; 12/30; 1/2

7 a.m.-6 p.m.

$20/member;  $18/member each additional child

$32/program participant;  $28/program participant each additional child

 

Snow Days

When Wicomico County Public Schools are closed for snow, the YMCA comes to your childcare rescue!  Registration is on a first come, first served basis and opens as soon as the announcement is made that school is closed.  Only full payment will be accepted, as space is limited.  Each child must have a completed Days Out forms pack on file before attending Snow Days.
7 a.m.-6 p.m.

$20/member;  $18/member each additional child

$32/program participant;  $28/program participant each additional child

 

Child Watch (6 months- 8 years)

Child Watch provides an exciting and nurturing environment for your child, complete with a parent paging system to keep your child safe.  It is available while YMCA Family Members are involved in a YMCA program or activity within the facility on a first come, first served basis.  FREE for YMCA Family Members Only!

Monday-Thursday  8:30 a.m.-12 noon;  4-8 p.m.

Friday  8:30 a.m.-12 noon;  4-7:45 p.m.

Saturday  8:30 a.m.-12 noon

 

Y-Zone Game Room (7 and up)

Check out our YMCA-staffed game room filled with interactive games everyone is sure to love!  Games include Dance, Dance Revolution, Wii, PlayStation2, XBox, pool & foosball tables, T.V. and lounge area.  There are times for specific age groups and families.  Monthly schedules are available at the front desk.  Children 7 & older can come in without an adult.  Children under 7 must be accompanied by an adult.
Monday & Friday  4-8 p.m.

Tuesday-Thursday  4-8:30 p.m.

Saturday  10 a.m.-5 p.m.

Sunday  1-5 p.m.

 

Birthday Parties

Come celebrate your child's birthday at the YMCA and let us do all the work for you!  Y-Birthday parties include: set-up, clean-up, paper goods, decorations, cake, beverages, pizzas, party favors, one hour party time and one hour in the pool hosted by a YMCA staff person.  Reservations are requested one month prior to the event date.  Please stop by the front desk to pick up a birthday party contract/request form.

September-May:  Saturdays  1-3 p.m. or 4-6 p.m.

June-August:  Saturdays  2-4 p.m.

All Year:  Sundays  2-4 p.m.

$225/member     $300/program participant

For those "do it yourselfers", we still have available one hour room and one hour pool time.
$65/member       $100/program participant
